Armed man hijacks bus in Germany

A man armed with a pistol hijacked a bus today in Bremen, northern Germany, and took about 15 people on board hostage, police said.

After commandeering the bus, the gunman forced it to drive south-east on the autobahn towards Hanover, trailed at a distance by several police cars.
