Injured Iraqi orphan to undergo surgery

Iraqi orphan Ali Ismaeel Abbas, who was horrifically injured in a Baghdad bomb attack, was today due to undergo life-saving surgery.

Dr Mohammad Khalaf, senior consultant at the Saud A Albabtain Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery in Kuwait, said the youngster would be taken to the operating theatre within the next few hours.
