Teenagers gunned down in packed school gym

One teenage boy was killed and four girls were wounded in New Orleans yesterday when gunmen armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and a handgun opened fire in a packed school gymnasium.

Four suspects were arrested within minutes of the shooting at John McDonogh High School, about a mile north of the city’s historic French Quarter. Students said the attack was probably gang related.
