US Embassy worker shot in Jordan

An American working for the US Embassy in Jordan was slightly wounded in a shooting attack, officials said today.

The American, who was on a temporary assignment at the embassy, was walking in a commercial district of Amman at about 11pm last night when a gunman opened fire from a passing car, diplomatic sources said.
