Pupils hurt in West Bank blast

A bomb exploded at a secondary school in the West Bank today, injuring at least 20 students, police said.

At least three of the pupils were taken to hospital in a serious condition, they said.

One of the students at the school in Jaba, a village outside Jenin, was playing with the bomb before it exploded, the officers said.

It was unclear how large the bomb was or whether the student had brought it in or discovered it. The army said there were no forces in the area.
