'Saddam' urges Iraqis to attack Allies

Saddam Hussein appeared on state television today and urged Iraqis to strike at the coalition armies now at the gates of his capital.

Appearing in military uniform, Saddam said the US led forces had “bypassed your armed defences” around Baghdad and other cities and urged his followers to “strike them forcefully, strike them.”
