Death toll in Philippins blast rises to 13
Filipino officials now believe 13 people were killed in the blast and 34 injured in the southern Philippines.
Local radio said a bomb went off in the city of Davao's wharf area at about 7pm (midday Irish time).
Many of the dead and injured were food vendors and children near the gate of the wharf in the city’s Sasa district, 600 miles south of Manila, they said.
Arrest warrants have been issued for leaders of the Muslim separatist Moro Islamic Liberation Front, who were blamed by the army for that attack.
