EU blames Mugabe for Zimbabwe violence

The European Union today strongly condemned what it called unprecedented violence sponsored by Zimbabwe’s president against the opposition.

It also accused Zimbabwe’s security forces of torturing opponents and carrying out hundreds of arbitrary arrests.
