Bombing campaign of Baghdad continues

A series of strong explosions shook the Iraqi capital soon after sunset today, and some of them appeared to be in the centre of the city.

War planes could be heard overhead when the attack began. Anti-aircraft tracers flew into the night sky over the city.

It was unclear what targets had been struck.
