US 'proud hammer' designed to fight and win

Marine Expeditionary Forces are seen as the “proud hammer” and a “major war fighting element” of the US Marine Corps.

According to the Marines’ official website, the task-organised forces are “designed to fight and win our Nation’s battles in conflicts up to and including major theater war”.
