Raiders throw money from roof in bank siege
Two men climbed on to the roof of a bank and threw money down on to the street tonight, police said.
Scotland Yard said the men were throwing objects, including money, from the roof of the NatWest bank on Tooley Street, central London.
A spokesman said police believed most of the bank’s staff were out of the building but they could not be sure if anyone remained inside.
Police, who have surrounded the building, were also unable to say whether the men were armed or the bank open at the time.
The spokesman said: “We will endeavour to bring this to a quick conclusion.”
