Saddam 'must give up weapons on TV'

Saddam Hussein must go on Iraqi television and declare that he will give up his weapons of mass destruction, Britain said today.

The demand for the Iraqi dictator to publicly admit that he has been hiding banned weapons is one of the conditions that Britain is proposing to judge whether he complying with United Nations requirements to disarm, British Foreign Officer Minister Mike O’Brien said.
