Shuttle crew may have tried to override autopilot

A member of the doomed crew of the space shuttle Columbia reportedly may have tried to override its autopilot in the final few seconds of flight.

Nasa spokeswoman Eileen Hawley said the override attempt, reported by America’s ABC News, could have been unintentional. And an official close to the investigation said the data was “really suspect”.
