Bush blocks Mugabe's assets

The US president has imposed economic sanctions against Robert Mugabe on grounds that he systematically undermines the country's democratic institutions.

The executive order George W Bush signed blocks all property and financial holdings in the US of the Zimbabwean president and 76 government officials.
