Blix: Iraq has carried out 'subtstantial' disarmament

Chief weapons inspector Hans Blix has told the UN Security Council that Iraq's destruction of Al Samoud 2 missiles was a "substantial measure of disarmament".

Dr Blix said: "We are not talking about the breaking of tooth picks. Lethal weapons are being destroyed."

Iraq has destroyed several R-400 type bombs, Dr Blix told the Security Council.
