UN may vote on resolution next week

The US and Britain will give Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein a short deadline to comply with UN inspections or face war and call for a vote early next week on the amended resolution, diplomats have said.

Foreign Secretary Jack Straw will present the details during his address to the Security Council, council diplomats said.
