Eleven Palestinians killed in Israeli tank attack
Eleven Palestinians have been killed and more than 100 wounded by tank shells fired by Israeli troops.
The shells were fired as a group of Palestinians watched firefighters put out a blaze in a building in the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli operation in Gaza came hours after a Palestinian suicide bombing on a bus in the northern city of Haifa killed 15 people and wounded dozens.
A gun battle had erupted in Jabalya during an overnight Israeli operation in the refugee camp, witnesses say.
It continued as troops pulled out of the area and withdrew into an alley.
