Russian President Vladimir Putin and President George Bush pledged today, during a telephone summit, to continue consultations on Iraq in the UN Security Council, the Kremlin said.

“During the discussion of Iraq, both sides expressed the intention to increase work in the UN Security Council with the purpose of developing a plan of action that would guarantee the interests of the entire world community,” the Kremlin press service said.
