Protesters occupy Spain's Baghdad embassy

Anti-war activists occupied the empty Spanish embassy in Baghdad today, saying diplomats who left Iraq while their country supported the threat of war also have abandoned hopes for peace.

Stringing up white banners reading “no sanctions, no war” from the white stucco house in Baghdad’s diplomatic section, the 17 Spaniards posed for pictures and read their manifesto from a balcony.
