UN inspects Iranian nuclear plant
The UN’s nuclear energy chief inspected an Iranian plant today, the first of two expected tours of facilities that Tehran says are for energy production but Washington claims are part of a secret weapons programme.
Mohamed ElBaradei, accompanied by two top officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency he heads, travelled to the central Iranian city of Natanz, 155 miles south of Tehran to visit the site of an under construction facility Iran says is for nuclear enrichment.
