Controversial human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell was released by French police today after being questioned over his demonstration against Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe who is attending a summit in Paris.

Controversial human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell was released by French police today after being questioned over his demonstration against Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe who is attending a summit in Paris.

Mr Tatchell and fellow campaigner Alan Wilkinson were detained at a Metro station as they arrived to ambush Mr Mugabe’s motorcade which was travelling to the foreign affairs ministry.
