* European leaders united behind a statement affirming solidarity with the US and warning Saddam Hussein that Iraq faces one “last chance” to disarm peacefully. The declaration by 15 EU leaders, including French President Jacques Chirac, gave backing for the US and British demand for swift action to disarm Iraq.
