Israeli tanks surround militant's house

Israeli tanks entered Gaza City early today and blew up the house of a leading militant next to a neighbourhood where leaders of the Islamic Hamas terror group live, witnesses said.

A Palestinian policeman was killed and four civilians, including a doctor, were wounded by Israeli gunfire, hospital officials said.
