Iraq surprise US with peace plan

A secret peace plan for Iraq has come as a surprise to the United States.

France and Germany want to triple the number of weapons inspectors and force Saddam Hussein to accept UN troops in his country.

It has been dismissed by a US official, saying the number of arms inspectors is not the issue.
