Saddam calls on Blair to stop US

Saddam Hussein has said Britain will be “rewarded by God” if Prime Minister Tony Blair can make the Americans pull back from the brink of war.

“Britain will be rewarded by God and by humanity if they make the Americans see the light,” the Iraqi leader told his top military officials in a televised briefing last night.
