The European Parliament today condemned North Korea for withdrawing from an international accord curbing the spread of nuclear weapons, and demanded it allow UN inspectors back into the country.

In a resolution passed with a show of hands, the European Union assembly called on the reclusive communist state to “reverse its decision” on withdrawing from the 1968 Non-Proliferation Treaty.
