Eta in "fix" claim over Spanish Eurovision entrant

A political row has broken out in Spain following the selection of their contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Arnaldo Otegi, leader of the banned political wing of Eta, says the result has been fixed by the ruling Popular Party so a Basque would represent Spain.

Ainhoa Cantalapiedra was the surprise winner of Operation Triumph, Spain's version of Fame Academy, giving her the right to represent Spain in this year's event in Latvia.

Marc Puig, a director of RTVE, the state television channel which broadcast Operation Triumph, said the accusation was "bizarre".
