UN observers threatened on Iraqi border

Two British UN observers were threatened at gun point by a Kuwaiti soldier at a military checkpoint on the Iraqi border today.

The soldier then said something to them in Arabic, laughed, and walked away leaving them shaken but unharmed, said a spokesman for the UN mission.
