Colombian rebels kidnap British and US journalists
A British reporter and a US photographer on assignment for the Los Angeles Times have been kidnapped by Colombian rebels.
Briton Ruth Morris and Texan Scott Dalton have been "retained" by the National Liberation Army, or ELN, the guerrilla group said in a statement.
They were seized at a rebel roadblock in Arauca state, one of the most violent regions of Colombia. Their taxi driver, Madiel Ariza, says the pair were led away with hoods on their heads.
Mr Ariza said the rebels told him ELN would turn over the kidnapped journalists to the Red Cross within a day or two, but the ELN statement said the journalists were being held.
