North Korean delegates arrived for talks in South Korea today saying both sides should resist “outside pressure” amid fears over the North’s nuclear weapons development.

Four days of talks are supposed to promote projects like the planned cross-border railway, but South Korea has vowed to use them to urge its neighbour to give up its nuclear programmes.

The North says its dispute is with the United States, and has nothing to do with the South.
