Israeli navy fires on raft, triggers huge blast

An Israeli navy patrol boat opened fire on an unmanned, booby trapped raft off the Gaza coast today, triggering a loud explosion.

Palestinian residents on the shore said they heard the blast several miles away in Gaza City.
