EU demands more Iraqi co-operation with UN

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana today added his voice to those putting pressure on Saddam Hussein to cooperate more with the UN.

“The war in Iraq can be averted and the responsibility is basically on the side of Saddam Hussein,” he said after meeting UN chief weapons inspector Hans Blix.
