France handler's in-laws hauled in

The in-laws of an airport baggage handler arrested in Paris after guns and explosives were found in his car are being questioned over suspicions they were trying to set him up.

Abderazak Besseghir, a 27-year-old Frenchman of Algerian origin, has claimed they still blame him for the death of their daughter Louisa in a house fire last summer.

He was arrested on December 28 after a witness reported seeing him with a gun in Charles de Gaulle airport car park.

The witness – a former French foreign legionnaire – later admitted working for a private investigator and planting the bombs and guns in the vehicle himself.

Besseghir was released on Friday, and police have launched a manhunt for Louisa’s uncle, who is allegedly behind the plot to frame him.
