Miraculous four-storey fall escape for new-born baby
A new-born child in Bangladesh has miraculously survived a fall from the roof of a four storey building.
The Daily Star of Bangladesh reports the child was born to a 16-year-old domestic help, known only as Mita.
They claim it was forcibly thrown from the rooftop of the building in Dhaka by Mita's employers, after she refused to abandon the illegitimate child.
The mother rushed to the ground floor and rescued her three-hour-old baby, which had remained unhurt after falling on the clay below.
The newspaper said the police rushed the mother and child to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors examining the baby certified it to be "in good condition".
