Algerians hunting rebels aligned to al-Qaida
The Algerian army is hunting a group of armed Islamic rebels hiding in the eastern scrubland that is believed to count two al-Qaida members among its ranks.
Algerian media recently reported several cases of foreign al-Qaida members working in the North African nation with the Islamic militants, who have waged a decade-long campaign of violence to try to topple the military-backed government.
