A Lufthansa Airlines jumbo was being searched for explosives today after it made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, following a bomb threat.

The Boeing 747-400, travelling from Frankfurt to Mexico City, had 392 passengers and 19 crew members on board when it landed around at 4.20pm local time yesterday, Chicago Department of Aviation spokeswoman Monique Bond said.
