Mild earthquake shook Greece
A moderate earthquake shook western Greece, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.
The Athens Geodynamic Institute said yesterday’s quake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.0 and occurred at 10.28pm (7.28pm Irish time). Its epicentre was located on the seabed off the western city of Preveza.
A quake of 4-5 magnitude can cause moderate damage in populated areas.
