Six killed in West Bank shootout

Palestinian gunmen have attacked a West Bank settlement, killing four Israelis before being shot to death, and a car bomb exploded in the heart of Jerusalem’s pub district in what is feared may be the start of a new wave of attacks after a month of relative calm.

Jewish seminary students had gathered for Sabbath dinner yesterday in Otniel when two Palestinians, dressed in Israeli army uniforms and armed with M-16 assault rifles, burst in spraying the dining hall with ammunition, the Israeli army said.
