Holes plugged in sunken oil tanker

Five holes in the sunken and leaking oil tanker Prestige have been plugged by a French research submarine, the Spanish government said today.

Strong winds were also pushing a huge slick from the submerged wreck far enough from land to give exhausted fishermen a breather.
