Jet forced to land after engine fails
A London-bound jet belonging to Russian airline Aeroflot made an emergency landing at Berlin’s Schoenefeld airport today after one of its engines failed, an airport spokesman said.
The Airbus A-310 aircraft, which was flying from Moscow to London, had 210 passengers on board, spokesman Eberhard Elie said.
It landed “without problems” at 10.44 am (0944 Irish time) at Schoenefeld, southeast of the German capital, where the passengers were awaiting onward transport.
