Yemenis arrest nine in al-Qaida hunt

Police in Yemen arrested nine family members of alleged al-Qaida terrorists who killed two policemen in a shoot-out yesterday before escaping in the port city of al-Mukalla, authorities reported today.

Four other police officers were injured in yesterday’s shooting after Yemeni security forces moved on a tip that al-Qaida members lived in the three-story building.
