Kentucky frees inmates to save money

The Governor of Kentucky is releasing 567 prisoners early because a budget shortfall means he cannot afford to keep them behind bars.

More than 360 felons were released yesterday and the rest will be freed tomorrow. All were within 80 days of completing their sentences.
