Man bites crocodile and escapes

A businessman who was attacked by a crocodile in northern Malawi escaped by biting the reptile on its nose, police said today.

Mac Bosco Chawinga, 43, was swimming in a lake in the northern Nkhata Bay area when the crocodile grabbed him, said Bob Mtekama, a senior police officer in the area.
