Riots flare in Venezuela

At least three people have been killed in the Venezuelan capital Caracas after a gunman opened fire on opponents of president Hugo Chavez amid escalating political unrest.

Shots raked a city square where military officers opposed to the leftist Chavez have staged a six-week protest.
