Backpacker injured in Australian car crash

A British backpacker has been seriously injured in a car crash which killed two people in Australia, police said today.

The 29-year-old woman is being treated for suspected spinal injuries at a hospital in the Queensland state capital, Brisbane, after the four wheel drive she was travelling in crashed yesterday afternoon.
