Virus-hit cruise ship faces massive clean-up
A cruise ship hit by a crippling stomach virus which has made more than 500 people ill was today undergoing yet another disinfection operation.
The workers on the Amsterdam – longer than two American football fields – are washing linens, steam-cleaning cushions and chairs, disinfecting light switches, doorknobs and handrails, and even wiping down bibles on the liner, which is docked in Florida.
