Briton killed in West Bank gun battle

A Briton was shot and killed today during a gun battle between Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank refugee camp of Jenin.

The victim was identified as Ian Hook, 50, who headed a UN project to rebuild homes in the battle-scarred camp.
