Sharon predicts creation of Palestinian state

Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has predicted that a Palestinian state will be created after the current round of Middle East violence ends.

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 2 TV, Sharon also said that Israel’s security chiefs had advised him not to expel Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, as demanded by several hardline ministers in his Cabinet.
