Gay Games gets underway in Sydney

Almost 13,000 athletes from around the world have converged in Sydney for the sixth Gay Games, which kick off today.

They will be competing in 31 sports and 11 cultural competitions including Olympic sports.

Other events include golf, dance, visual arts, poetry, drama and parties.
