Sniper may have left message at scene of shooting

Authorities in the US have said they believe the Washington-area sniper might be trying to communicate with them through a message left at the scene of the latest shooting in Virginia.

Task force investigators believe it may be the sniper who left them a message on Saturday at the Ponderosa steakhouse in Ashland where a 37-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the parking lot, according to a law enforcement source close to the investigation who spoke to The Associated Press.
